FIELD: mining engineering.
SUBSTANCE: casing collar locator for definition of formation density contains frame with located in it container with gamma-ray source of and at least, one detector of reflected gamma-ray. At that, in one case frame is made with ability of container location with gamma-ray source in the centre of well bore and contains annular slit, penetrated with gamma-ray. In another case, gamma-ray source is made focused and installed on revolving head. In the third case, gamma-ray source is made circular and located around the frame.
EFFECT: possibility providing of information receiving about geologic strata structure around well bore.
