FIELD: flight vehicles.

SUBSTANCE: airship carcass us made up of lengthwise stringers with their ends coupled with ties, a covering with the surface shape within the limits of adjoining stringers being a negative Gaussian curvature. Inside the carcass a lower gas pressure is maintained relative to the outer atmospheric pressure. The stringers are connected to ties by rod links all along their length. Inside the carcass, a varying volume capacities for lift gas and air ballonets are accommodated communicating with atmosphere via a system of valves and fans. The stringers all along their length can be connected to ties by means of membranes.
