FIELD: flight vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: airship design incorporates a carcass of three lengthwise stringers with their ends coupled by ties. The covering within the limits of adjoining stringers has the surface shape of negative Gaussian curvature. The tie at one of its ends has a tensioning device used in the carcass assembly and intended, primarily for creation the state of structure prestressing and for full-scale structure basic load-carrying elements for strength.
EFFECT: higher rigidity and simpler design.
