FIELD: energetics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the hardware execution of the sulfur dioxide oxidation. The system consists of the sulfur furnace, the recovery boiler, the catalyst chamber with five catalyst layers, three gas heat exchangers for gas air cooling, and economizer. It also supplied with the gas heat exchanger which cools gases before adsorption, with the input into the tube cavity connected to the gas output from the fifth catalyst layer of the catalyst chamber; the input is connected via the tube space with the gas heat exchanger which cools gases after the third catalyst layer; output via the tube space - with the gas heat exchanger which cools gases after the second catalyst layer; and economizer output is connected with the gas heat exchanger which cools gases after the first catalyst layer; and the output is connected with the sulfur furnace. The gas heat exchanger which cools gases after the first catalyst layer is connected with the air heat exchanger. The gas heat exchanger which cools gases after the second catalyst layer is connected via the tube space with the gas input from the fourth layer of the catalyst chamber. The system also includes two heat exchangers which cools gases before adsorption, and the supplemental gas heat exchanger which is connected via the tube space with one of the heat exchangers that cool gases before adsorption, and the heat exchanger which cools gases after the second catalyst layer, and via the tube space - with the gas output of the fourth catalyst layer and input to the fifth catalyst layer.
