FIELD: mechanics.
SUBSTANCE: orbital lantern gear consists of a body, eccentric shaft (9), satellites (5, 6), which are eccentrically displaced on eccentric shaft roller bearings (7,8) and rotating member. Gear body is represented with two flanges (1,2) joined by pinned bypasses (3) interacting with cylindrical surfaces in satellite holes via bearings (4). Epicyclical teeth of satellites interact with gearing elements of output rotating member. Output rotating member is represented with non-closed multiple-strand chain (11) which partially cover satellites. Ends of chain are fixed to linear moving rod or to rotating circular sector.
EFFECT: gear ensures high transmission ratio in one stage at small dimensions.
