FIELD: heating; engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: objective of the invention is to reduce hydraulic resistance of the apparatus, increase the specific area of heating and lower occluding of internal surfaces of heating pipes by solid sediments in the process of desalination of bauxite pulp and processing of aluminium solutions. The apparatus consists of a cylindrical case with covers, heating pipes inside the case, tube plates fixed to the upper and lower ends, connection pipes for input and output of the heated pulp into the pipe and input of vapour in the space between the pipes and output of condensate. The ends of the heating pipe, fixed in the central part of the pipe plates, in the lower pipe plate, are separated from the rest of the heating pipes by a wall, joining the upper but-end to the surface of the pipe plate. The lower butt-end is rigidly joined to the connection pipe for inletting pulp. The upper pipe plate has a cap, separating the upper ends of the heating pipe from the internal space of the case. The heating pipes, joined by a wall on the lower pipe plate, have a diameter larger than the rest of the heating pipes. The ratio of the sum of the passage areas of the pipes, joined by the wall on the lower pipe plate, to the sum of the passage areas of the rest of the heating surfaces is in the range 0.7÷1.0.

EFFECT: lowering of power consumption for supplying pulp by 2-5% into the apparatus and increasing of the heat transfer coefficient by 5-10%.
