SUBSTANCE: vacuum cleaner consists of a dust collecting device for storing dirt particles, a fixed element, a rotating device, compressive electric motor for activating the working of the rotating device, a meter, an alarm device and a controlling unit. The fixed element is fixed in the space for storing dirt particles. The rotating device compacts the dirt particles in cooperation with the fixed element. The meter measures the time of movement of the rotating device. The alarm device gives out a signal to empty the dirt particles. The control unit brings to action the alarm device, when the measured time is less than the specified time. In accordance with the way the dirt particles in the dust collecting device pack themselves on the rotating device. To ensure that the amount of compact dirt particles does not exceed the specified amount, a signal is given to remove the compacted dirt particles.

EFFECT: increase in the capacity of collecting dust in the dust collecting device.
