SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a vacuum cleaner, which comprises the main body, where a suction electric motor is installed to generate a suction force; a dust collecting device, installed with the possibility of detachment on the main body of the vacuum cleaner and forming a compartment for dust storage; a pressing element to press dust stored in a compartment for dust storage; a compression electric motor to put the pressing element in motion; a device to select a working mode of a compression electric motor; and a control device to control operation of a compression electric motor in compliance with the selected mode, and also to a method of this vacuum cleaner control.
EFFECT: maximisation of collected dust amount.
