FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the compositions designed to effectively remove or prevent the scale and rust formation on the surfaces of the water-heating devices. The invented device contains the cationic polyelectrolyte "EPAM" which comprises the water-soluble amino epichlorohydrin copolymer containing the cationic functional groups and obtained by interaction of epichlorohydrin with amines - mixture of the initial R-NH₂ or secondary RR'- NH with the ammonium hydrate and by entering the gel-formation inhibitor - the tertiary aliphatic amine RR'R"N, where R presents the CH₃ group at R₃N, RR"N; R'-C₂H₅ at R'₃N, R'R"N; R"-(CH₃) (CH₂H₅), and the citric acid at the following components ratio in weight percent: 1-2 of the water soluble cationic polyelectrolyte "EPAM", 0.5-1.5 of the citric acid and water - remaining.

EFFECT: product list of compositions for scale removal is extended; composition efficiency is increased; steel corrosion and number of composition components are reduced.
