LEAD FOR ALUMINIUM ELECTROLYTIC CELL OF HIGHER POWER Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC C25C3/16

Abstract RU 2328555 C2

FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to aluminium production by the method of electrolysing of melted cryolite salts in electrolytic cells with their horizontal arrangement in the case of the electrolysis. The lead includes side posts, the second from the end posts, middle posts arranged along longitudinal output side of the electrolytic cell, complex bus bars with cathode outgoes of the input side located lower than a metal level in the electrolytic cell, then complex bus bars with cathode outgoes of the input side, complex bus bars with cathode outgoes of the output side located at a metal level, bus bars assembled under the bottom and bypass packets of the cathode buses. The side posts are connected to the bus bars of the input side by bypass packets of the cathode bus bars. The second from the end posts consisting of two parallel bus bars are connected to the complex bus bars of the output side and to the complex bus bars of the input side via the bus bars running under the bottom and to the bypass packets of the cathode bus bars. The middle posts are connected to the complex bus bars of the output side and to the bypass packets of the cathode bus bars. To compensate influence of magnetic field of neighbour rows of electrolytic cells compensating bas bars are added to lead; they are installed under the bottom parallel to a minor axis of the electrolytic cell. The compensating bus bars are connected to the bus burs running under the bottom, the latter are installed under one end of the cathode case from the side opposite to the neighbour row of electrolytic cells and form parallel electric circuit. The posts are connected to anode bus bars of the next in series electrolytic cell.

EFFECT: facilitates increased metal output as per current.
