SUBSTANCE: electronic Coriolis instruments consist of a processing system, connected to a single output port and made with provision for receiving measuring signals from a flow sensor and processing the measured signals for determining flow of material, flowing through the sensor. The processing system receives a command for output of a frequency output signal or a digital communication signal. If the command directs output of the frequency output signal, the system processes data on flow for generating the frequency output signal and transmits this signal through the single output port. If the command directs output of the digital communication signal, the system processed data of flow for generation of the digital communication signal and transmits this signal to the single output port (306). The processing system can also determine the direction of the stream of material. When there is failure, the processing system generated a frequency output signal with a predetermined frequency.
EFFECT: invention is cheap and can be used with conventional flow meters.
