FIELD: textiles; paper.
SUBSTANCE: valuable document comprising at least one security element that is provided with a marking layer in a marking region, the layer being applied to a carrier body and containing electroluminescent pigments. A plurality of field displacement elements, being electrically insulated from their surroundings and having a minimum dielectric constant of 50, are arranged in the marking area in a manner distributed over the surface, said field displacement elements being at an average distance from each other of approximately between 5 mcm to 500 mcm, forming gaps therebetween for electroluminescent pigments and locally increasing the macroscopically applied field intensity within said gaps. A method for producing said valuable document is proposed thereby providing a carrier body for a security element of the marking region. A marking layer containing electroluminescent pigments is applied by means of a printing process. Said valuable document may be used in a much larger number of use and environmental conditions.
EFFECT: providing a method which is particularly suitable for producing such a valuable document.
