FIELD: technological process.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the filed of silicates technology and is related to production of items from foam glass. Method of facing slabs production from foam glass includes preparation of powdery mixture of glass and gasifier, application of mixture layer, after thermal treatment it is coated with layer of powdery mixture of glass and colouring agent with further melting of applied layer at temperature of 200 - 300°C that exceeds temperature of specified layer thermal treatment.
EFFECT: preparation of well-spread smooth colour glassy film on surface of foam glass slabs.
