FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: dust catcher contains a dust separation chamber, a dividing grating, and a dust collecting hopper. At a dome portion of the separation chamber a gas vortex is installed; the vortex consists of exterior and interior rings and blades arranged between the rings at an equal space at an angle of 40-50°. A diameter of the exterior ring is equal to a diameter of an input sleeve. A diameter of the interior ring is determined when a gas speed in the vortex under working mode reaches 20m/s. The height of the rings is equal to 0.15-0.30 of a diameter of the exterior ring. The dividing grating consists of bearing beams and angle bars secured onto them with a gap of 150-200 mm and an up-aperture angle of 45-60°; the said grating is installed at a distance of 0.05-0.4 of a diameter of a cylinder portion of the dust catcher above its lower border.
EFFECT: reduction of investment costs and upgrading of efficiency at dry dust catching with reduction of dust utilisation costs.
