FIELD: metallurgy; blast-furnace process.
SUBSTANCE: proposed dust collector contains dust separation chamber, separating hood with shell, dust collecting bin, supply gas line, cutoff valve and discharge gas line. Mounted in hood part of separation chamber is gas swirler consisting of outer and inner shells with blades located between them at equal distances at angle of 40-50 deg. Diameter of outer shell is equal to diameter of inlet branch pipe. Diameter of inner shell is determined from the condition of gas flow rate in swirler of 20 m/s. Height of shells is equal to 0.20-0.25 of diameter of outer shell.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of dust collection; simplified construction of dust collector.
