FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for reduction of copper out of its sulphide compositions present in sulphide products, for example in concentrates and in mattes. The method of copper reduction out of sulphide products is performed in a melted alkali with an intensive mechanical mixing of a solid liquid system by means of a blade mixer. The process is carried out at temperature of 450-480°C during 30-40 min with barbotage through a system of technological oxygen, the consumption rate of which is 350-375% (mas.) from the sulphur mass present in a primary sulphide product.
EFFECT: high speed of the process of copper metallisation excluding material caking.
