FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: module incorporates a limiting protective casing with the first compartment accommodating compressor (2) and the second compartment accommodating motor (1), both being driven by a single shaft (13). The first compartment communicates with inlet line (11) and outlet line to isolate hydrocarbon gas and to inject gas. The second compartment is furnished with magnetic bearings (12) wherein running is, at least, one shaft, and pressure and volume controller communicating via a fluid medium with the second compartment and gas source (10, 11). The module also incorporates means to define pressures at the inlet and outlet lines so that, proceeding from the defined pressure value, the pressure and volume controller can adjust pressure required to inject gas into the second compartment. The proposed underwater gas compressor module differs in that, at least one shaft runs in magnetic bearings controlled by unit (16). Here, note that the bearings and the said control unit are arranged, at least, in one protective casing containing fluid medium at controlled pressure and are protected against ingress of sea water.
EFFECT: provision of completely or almost completely dry medium for motor and magnetic bearings.
