FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: oil product temperature and density is measured simultaneously at the same filling level by density sensors and temperature sensors, which are installed at distance no more than 1.0 meter from each other. Based on results, oil products density is defined at standard temperature. Based on dependence equations of oil product density from oil product density at standard temperature with the account of oil product temperature at a certain tank height, oil product density dependence on height is defined. Mathematical expression of density changing from oil products height in tank is calculated and its weight with the account of volume is further defined. When oil products are released, weight change is defined with the account of weight derived from a product of oil product released by volume and oil product density, determined by release level in tank. In option where control and recording is made by oil product filling height, several layers are distinguished, oil product weight in each layer is calculated and results are added defining total weight for all filling weight.
EFFECT: invention improves measuring of oil product amounts at storage and during different modes of discharge and filling.
