FIELD: instrument engineering.
SUBSTANCE: "Ф" output optical signals D0...DN are formed against input optical signal. Output optical signals are represented with N-bit standard binary code {D1...DN}. Optical AD converter includes optical multiplexer, optical divider, optical delay lines, optically bounded waveguides, optical Y-splitters, optical comparator.
EFFECT: invention is targeted to solve problems of optical analogue signals to be converted into positional binary code in a quick manner, which is potentially achievable for optical data processing unit.
