FIELD: physics; computer engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to specialised computer engineering. The device contains optical couplers, connected into N bit cells, each of which contains two optical space-frequency selectors, optical Y-junction divider, optical space amplitude modulator, and an optical coupler. The input of the device is the input of the optical amplitude-frequency converter, the output of which is connected to the input of the first optical space-frequency selector of the first bit cell, the first output of which in each bit cell is connected to the first input of the optical coupler of the given bit cell, and the second output is connected to the input of the optical Y-junction divider of the given bit cell, the second output of which is the data output of the given kth bit cell and the output of the corresponding bit of the device.
EFFECT: faster operation, potentially achieved just for optical information processing devices.
