FIELD: electric engineering.
SUBSTANCE: commutation contact for vacuum arresters with radial or axial magnet field contains contact board and pot-shaped contact holder with coil for creation of magnet field, which is formed by azimuthal slots of pot-shaped contact holder wall. External diameter of pot slotted wall is less than the diameter of contact board installed on it. Between contact board and base of contact holder ring-shaped support body is inserted, which embraces contact holder in at least slotted area. "Vacuum" gap is installed between external support body and slotted wall of pot.
EFFECT: increase of contact power.
