SUBSTANCE: invention is referred to vacuum circuit breaker for automatic protection device. The invention suggests a vacuum circuit breaker, which contains: cylindrical insulating element (1) with a pair of parts (2a, 2b) of the electric contact placed coaxially and surrounded concentrically by insulating element (1), at that a pair of parts (2a, 2b) of the electric contact comprises a tool for initiating upon commencement of disconnection process for disconnecting arc only between the respective inner elements (8a, 8b) of the contact and respective outer elements (9a, 9b) of the contact comprise a tool for commutation of the above arc from inner elements (8a, 8b) of the contact to outer elements (9a, 9b) of the contact till disconnection process is over. The inner element (8a, 8b) of the electrical contact is made as a contact element of TMF type (transverse magnetic field) mainly to generate a transverse magnetic field, while outer contact element (9a, 9b) I made as a contact element of AMF type (axial magnetic field) mainly to generate an axial magnetic field.
EFFECT: simple-to-design pair of parts for electrical contact, which ensures high commutation properties.
