FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to configuration of electric contacts for vacuum circuit breaker. Vacuum circuit breaker is suggested for automatic protection; it contains cylindrical insulating element (1) with a pair of parts (2a, 2b) of the electric contact placed coaxially and surrounded concentrically by insulating element (1), at that a pair of parts (2a, 2b) of the electric contact comprises a tool for initiating upon commencement of disconnection process for disconnecting arc only between the respective inner elements (8a, 8b) of the contact and respective outer elements (9a, 9b) of the contact comprise a tool for commutation of the above arc from inner elements (8a, 8b) of the contact to outer elements (9a, 9b) of the contact till disconnection process is over. Inner element (8a, 8b) of the electric contact is made as a contact element generating transversal magnet field and each outer element (9a, 9b) of the electric contact is made as a contact element generating axial magnet field.
EFFECT: fabrication of a simple electric contact with high commutation performance.
