FIELD: aerospace survey; forest range control.
SUBSTANCE: aerospace survey of land with protective forest ranges is conducted early in summer. The image obtained is transformed into digital bitmap format. Protective forest ranges are outlined, with rows of trees contoured. Contoured image phototone is evaluated in the 256-level grey colour range. Areas of contours set off are calculated. The processed image is snapped to a topographic map and transformed. Condition of protective forest ranges is evaluated.
EFFECT: reduction of time necessary for research.
