FIELD: measuring instruments.
SUBSTANCE: fluid is prepared for measuring operations in the following way: it is supplied to a measuring tank mounted atop the wellhead, wherein the fluid undergoes homogenisation to achieve desired homogeneity, for which purpose the content of associated gas being dissolved in the fluid is substantially reduced, the measuring tank is connected therefore to the atmosphere and then gas bubbles are removed from the fluid, for which purpose the pressure in the measuring tank is increased so as to completely dissolve the bubbles, whereafter the water content in the oil-well fluid is determined by means of a gamma densitometer.
EFFECT: achieving the maximal prescribed accuracy of measuring water content in oil-well fluid for a gamma densitometer.
