FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: method of measuring component by component flow rate of a three-component stream of a mixture involves dividing the mixture in a two-phase separator into liquid and gas channels, measuring mass flow rate, volumetric moisture content and density of the mixture in the liquid channel. Volumetric moisture content, volume flow rate, temperature and pressure of the mixture are further measured in the gas channel. Mass and volume characteristics of the measured components of the mixture are calculated from the obtained measurement data using the equation of abundance ratio of oil and water in the liquid phase of the liquid and gas channels, a priori known density values of oil ρo, water ρw and free gas ρgf, as well as coefficient of fractional mass concentration of gas dissolved in oil and coefficient of fractional volume content of gas dissolved in oil which are automatically selected from memory of an operating program for current temperature and pressure values.

EFFECT: high accuracy of measuring amount of oil, water and associated petroleum gas extracted from oil wells.
