FIELD: power engineering.

SUBSTANCE: device for emergency of a nucleus reactor comprises a cavity located above the core region, and a column of fuel components installed in a vertical channel on support blocks thus forming a part of the core region and washed with a heat carrier. Hollow cylinder blocks having the shape of cartridges with their bottom portions upwards are arranged in the central portion of the channel between the fuel components. Part of fuel components located directly under the hollow cylinder blocks are made on the base of Th232, at that the ratio between the value of the specific weight of fuel components on the base of Th232 to the specific weight value of the rest of fuel components is within the range of 3.5 to 4.5. Implementation of the invention allows creating the device for nucleus reactor protection which provides above critical neutron physical state of nucleus reactor operation under normal condition, and it also provides subcritical state at emergency with boiling up and loss of a heat carrier including reduction of reactor power overshoot value due to a time lag of emergency protection system.

EFFECT: upgraded internal self protection and safety of channel nucleus reactors.
