FIELD: energy producing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing energy from nuclear fission. Fast neutrons slow down, form a field of thermal neutrons, select and return thermal neutrons to the fission zone, remove the fission energy, and use the fission zone of a reactor without a moderator. The fissile substance is injected with a concentration of 235U comparable to or less than the concentration in natural uranium, the thermal neutron flux is introduced through the channels in the fissile substance before interacting with it, the fission energy is removed by the coolant. The coolant condensate is introduced through the channels, evaporated on a developed porous surface in the channels in the fissile substance, and the resulting vapor is removed through them to remove its energy and condense. In the reactor, the fission zone does not contain moderators, the fissile material in the form of plates, together with an absorber of volatile emissions, is placed inside the housings, in the gaps between which there are porous wicks of condensate evaporation, connected to a heat exchanger, on the one hand through the steam outlet line, and on the other side are connected with it through the condensate inlet line.
EFFECT: simplification of the design of the reactor, an increase in the specific power in the reactor, radiation and environmental safety, which makes it possible to expand the area of their application.
