FIELD: mechanics.

SUBSTANCE: waveguide distributor for FA with optimised radiation characteristics consists of the main and supplementary linear dividers, each made up of directional couplers (DC) integrated by the first and second main line waveguides, respectively. The DC branches are directed at the angle of 90°ϕ, where ϕ=0÷20° to its main line waveguide. Here note that the branches of respective DC of the main and supplementary linear dividers are coupled via phase-shifting components. The main line wave guides feature an equal trapezoidal cross-section with narrow different-height walls and are arranged one after another so that the equal-section branches located on both sides of the first main line waveguide and having common wide-wall sections with the said waveguide incorporating linking elements pass above and below the second main line wave guide so that, after a 180° turn in the E-plane, they abut upon the second main line waveguide wide walls and share common sections of walls incorporating the linking elements. Every DC branch channel incorporates a dielectric inserts. Every DC branch channel end incorporates a matched load, the said ends being coupled by the second main line waveguide.

EFFECT: compact and simplified design incorporating single-type high-stability couplers with wider operating frequency range.
