FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: used in antenna systems, in particular, in phased array antennas. A waveguide distributor for a phased array antenna with optimized radiation characteristics is proposed, consisting of a main and additional linear dividers made of directional couplers, respectively combined by the first and second main waveguides and located one after the other, differing from the prototype in that the main and additional linear dividers are made on hollow waveguides; at the beginning of the main and additional linear dividers, additional directional couplers are introduced, the branch channels of which are located on the other side of the main waveguides between the branch channels of the directional couplers, and the number of additional directional couplers is no more than half the number of directional couplers.
EFFECT: increase in efficiency and increase in the electrical strength of the waveguide distributor for a phased array antenna with optimized radiation characteristics.
