FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns power unit with self-oscillating converter of series resonance for power load. Series resonance converter includes two connected transistors (TR1, TR2) which can separately interact with control transformer (T1), series of induction coils (L1), capacitor (C4), and oscillation frequency changing unit for transistors (TR1, TR2) and hence for power unit output voltage. Each transistor (TR1, TR2) together with series of discharge capacitors (C6, C7) or relevant additional transistors are connected parallel to the mentioned induction coil L1, capacitor (C4) and control transformer (T1). Oscillation frequency changing unit for transistors includes control generator (GNR) which emits intermittent pulse switching the current-bearing transistor (TR1, TR2) off. Thus, transistor oscillation frequency is adjusted by the pulse frequency of the control generator (GNR).
