FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method of neonatal jaundices treatment includes pharmacotherapy combined with phototherapy of right hypochondrium area. For this purpose polarised polychromatic noncoherent light of wavelength 480-3400 nm, degree of polarisation 95 %, light energy flux density 1-3 J/cm2 per minute, specific power 40 mW/cm2, is applied within 2-4 minutes daily. Course is 7-10 procedures.
EFFECT: method provides improved microcirculation within system and local levels; reduces neonatal haemolysis and prevents bilirubin accumulation in blood.
