FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: Ursofalk suspension is administered in a dose of 20-30 mg/kg a day once during the evening. A consumed liquid volume is supposed to make up to 10 ml/kg of immature infant's body weight and up to 20 ml/kg of mature infant's body weight. Besides, progression of blood serum biochemistry, liver ultrasound results, measured haemoglobin, erythrocytes and reticulocytes is monitored once a month. That is also combined with detecting a complex of herpetic infections: cytomegalovirus infection, Epstein-Barr virus, herpes simplex virus types 1 and 2. If any infection is stated, a combination therapy is added with a preparation of interferon alpha-2b in suppositories - Genferon Light 125000 mg in a dose of 1 suppository twice a day for 10 days. The further treatment follows the schedule: 1 suppository twice a day three times a week for up to three months.
EFFECT: providing higher clinical effectiveness and minimising liver and spleen complications by taking into account ethiopathogenetic mechanisms of conjugation jaundices development and anatomic-physiologic features of infants' biliary system.
