FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: screening coat is fabricated out of a sheet material of a required dimension. Lengthwise triangle grooves of a uniform depth are cut on one of the sides of the sheet material. Further, on another side, a layer of material is stripped perpendicular to the grooves with uniform cross intervals to achieve lengthwise crevices of a determined width. At that at a crevices portion not stripped material forms lengthwise rods, while at an interval portion it forms securing bands. To fabricate screening sections the screening coat is bent and rigidly fixed at end rings thus forming a cylinder surface with the axis parallel to lengthwise rods. Further the screening sections are installed on a base component, for example, on a perforated pipe.
EFFECT: increased operational efficiency and reduction of material cost for well screen fabricating.
