FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to stand tests of automatic controls systems of gas turbine engines (GTE ACS). It allows increasing the tests reliability by simulating failures. Invention covers the method of carrying out full-scale tests of GTE ACS in real time conditions, the tests comprising the gas turbine parameters, those of actuators and pickups. The gas turbine dynamics is simulated by calculating derivative x of the output signal at every simulation step as the sum of output signal x(t) multiplied by factor A, and input signal u(t) multiplied by factor B, with the subsequent integration of calculated derivative. One or several simulated failures are selected by depressing appropriate failure cut-in selector button, n GTE failure are simulated by varying the factors A and B of dynamic model by increments ΔA1...ΔAn and ΔB1...ΔBn selected depending upon the type of simulated failure, actuators failures being simulated by closing/opening the actuator simulator input electric circuit along with recording the actuator travel/motion characteristics at constant speed till a certain limit. Pickups failures are simulated by breaking or short-circuiting pickup simulator input circuit. Pickup, actuator and engine failure simulation selector switches logic is defined and set up by a set k(n+6) of selector switches on the problem board. The method is used at the semi-full-scale GTE ACS test bed.

EFFECT: higher reliability of GTE ACS tests and higher accuracy.
