SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the secondary battery with a high-strength case. According to the invention the secondary battery has the electrode unit established in the case of the battery, made from the laminar sheet, which consists of the outer covering from the polymeric film, a barrier layer from a metal foil and an internal sealing layer from a polyolefin material; the metal foil of the barrier layer is formed from aluminium alloy, the external layer is made from polyethylenenaphthalate (PENP), and/or the external surface of this outer covering is supplied with a layer of polyethylenenaphthalate (PENP), thus the battery possesses the resisting force against penetration of more than 6.5 kgf.
EFFECT: improved safety due to the ability to considerably reduce the probability of ignition or explosion in comparison to the traditional batteries.
