FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to diagnostics of foot state, and can be used as screeping method for revealing patients with longitudinal platopodia. Footprints being obtained, scanning of foot is performed and operator singles out points on the obtained image. After foot marking and measuring of obtained segments, diagnostic indices are calculated according to the table, and concluding estimation is made. If D<=40% - conclusion "normal foot"; if D>40% and D<=60% - conclusion "flattening of foot"; D>60% - conclusion "flat foot". Determining platypodia degree according to the proposed method makes it simpler for a doctor, on the basis of informational support, to state diagnosis in situations of uncertainty of making alternative decision with boundary states of foot conditions: normal foot - flattened foot - flat foot.
EFFECT: objectivisation and documentation of justification of diagnostic decision that doctor makes when treating platypodia.
