FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention pertains to abrasive machining and can be used in metallurgy, machine building, motor transport and other industries when machining flat steel and other objects by loose abrasion in suspension. A reservoir with a cover is filled with an abrasive medium. The reservoir is fitted with equipment for holding the processed object. The reservoir is a rectangular chamber, with a net and a connection pipe on its lower part for suspending the abrasive medium. The sidewalls of the reservoir are in form of a hollow sealed casing and are fixed with provision for rotating from the vertical to the horizontal position and back. On the outer sidewalls of the casing there are connection pipes for letting in compressed air into the casing. On the inner sidewalls there are openings, arranged in chess-board fashion, for letting compressed air into the chamber.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of abrasive machining and reduced abrasive wear of the reservoir.
