FIELD: mining industry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to the mining industry and may be used for protecting mine workings and intersections thereof against damage during underground mining of fields. The protection method involves forming an unloading area by drilling deformation wells around the mine working being protected. Part of the wells outside the protected area are filled with backfill material. The length of the unfilled part is calculated from the expression LA=LW+0.5B1,+0.5B2, where: LW is the length of the mine working protected (m); B1 and B2 are distances from the deformation wells to the mine working protected, correspondingly, the least and the most, m. The unloading area is formed by drilling deformation wells from an active mine working so as to provide mutual intersection of the wells.
EFFECT: increased protection efficiency and decreased costs for field development due to redistribution of stresses in rock mass.
