FIELD: mining industry.
SUBSTANCE: present group of inventions relates to a method and device for setting road support parallel with the roadway driving by a selective cutting road heading machine. The road support setting method involves the following stages: behind the cutting tool of the road heading machine, mats wound into rolls are prepared, for lagging of the working in two perpendicular planes lying behind each other in the longitudinal working direction and offset relative to each other. Parallel to the roadway driving, the rolls are unwound so that the mats overlap, with their ends in the longitudinal working direction, and adjusted to the rock mass immediately. After the mat rolls are unwound completely, the above working operations are repeated according to the roadway driving length, using new mat laggings. The road support is set at a distance from the cutting tool, securing the mat lagging. Unwound mat laggings are adjusted to the rock mass using a self-propelled lagging handler. A device for the implementation of proposed method contains a movable lagging handler independent from the road heading machine, for mounting the laggings and adjusting them to the rock mass. Behind the cutting tool of the road heading machine, mat cartridges are located at a certain distance from each other along the perimeter, in two planes lying behind each other in the longitudinal working direction, perpendicular to each other. The mat cartridges are equipped with automatic support or tension devices, the lagging handler being supplied with a height adjusting device.
EFFECT: increased mining capacity thanks to decrease in heading equipment idle time enabled by parallel setting of working support.
