FIELD: motor industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to motor industry, namely, to automatic brake controllers. The automatic brake controller incorporates a housing, a rotary worm gear, a clutch a retaining mechanism, a bearing assembly cover with a thrust bearing and a lock ring. The clutch with the one-way retaining mechanism comprises a rotary worm shaft fixed perpendicular to the worm wheel but in mesh with the said wheel and a seat of the toothed retainer/clutch. The aforesaid seat forms, first, along with the rotary worm shaft a clutch mechanism, and, second, with the one-way bush, thus forming an integrated one-way mechanism and a retaining mechanism above the worm shaft.
EFFECT: automatic response to excess wear of brake shoe and chances of calibration to keep up an optimum clearance along with longer life of assembly units.
