FIELD: production of stop valves.

SUBSTANCE: set of inventions relates to production of stop valves intended for shutting off the pipeline flow section. Diaphragm valve (5) incorporates body (1) with inlet and outlet branch pipes (3) (4) entering the liquid and/or gas flow through chamber. The said chamber is furnished with seat (106) formed by flattened contacting surfaces of two branch pipes (3) and (4). The two-part chamber has its one part made integral with body (1) and the other made up of cover (2) fitted tightly on body (1). Outer flange (105) of flexible diaphragm (5) comes pressed between two outer flanges (101, 102) of the said chamber two parts. Outer flange (105) is coupled with central dome-like part (305) furnished with appropriated means arranged between dome (305) and cover (2) and is pressed to seat (106) to shut off any liquid flow from inlet branch pipe (3) to outlet branch pipe (4). The cross-section of both branch pipes (3) (4) is flattened nearby seat (106) in flow direction and a bit elongated in direction across the flow so that to form, in fact, an ellipse-like hole. Dome (305) of diaphragm (5) features a dome-like-segment shape with the cross-section complying to the said flow-through chamber hole. Diaphragm (5) makes a diaphragm shut-off valve element.
