FIELD: valving.
SUBSTANCE: valve comprises housing with the seat, slide vale with centering members, inlet and outlet passages, and flowing chamber. The back side of the flowing chamber is closest to the longitudinal axis of the valve and is a smooth curve in cross-section, e.g. half ellipse. The smaller radius of the ellipse is in coincidence with the largest radius of the slide valve. The larger radius is determined from the equality of the areas of cross-section of the inlet passage and flowing chamber when the valve is open.
EFFECT: reduced hydraulic resistance.
