GYROSCOPE DEVICE Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC G01C19/00

Abstract RU 2332641 C1

FIELD: gyroscopes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gyroscopes and can be used in whatever vehicles. The proposed device incorporates two rotors 1 with wheels engaged with support wheel 4 fitted at base 3 and with drive gear wheel 10 fitted on drive shaft 2, the said drive gear wheel running the rotor gears and rolling them over the fixed support wheel ring gear. The rotor wheel feature smooth rims 7 in constant contact with outer sides 12 of the support wheel concentric circular grooves and those of the drive wheel that prevents the rotor shifting outward caused by centrifugal forces. The rotor wheels are fitted coaxially in recesses 9 furnished in the rotor side surfaces. Rotor centers of gravity 11 and the points whereat the rotor wheel rims are in contact with the support wheel circular groove outer side are located on the gyroscopic force vector line which ensures directing gyroscopic forces and moments to base 3 via support wheel 4.

EFFECT: higher reliability and expanded application range.
