GYROSCOPIC DEVICE Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC G01C19/00

Abstract RU 2357211 C1

FIELD: mechanics.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to gyroscopic devices. Device consists of bottom I with support 2 for axis 3 and rotor 4 located on the axis and capable of keeping the direction of axis line O-O of proper rotation. Gyroscopic force F acts on the support from the rotor side perpendicular to axis O-O at forced rotation ω1. In the support made in the form of a post there fixed is one axis end thus forming a bracket carrying the rotor with the possibility of rotation ω on its bearing 5. Support is made with bending 6 providing location on one straight line A-A of centre of mass 7 of rotor, bearing 5, and central point 8 of support connection to bottom, at that gyroscopic force from the side of rotor coincides as to direction with the above straight line A-A. Arms for gyroscopic force are not available, which excludes the possibility of creating a pair of forces and simplifies the connection of fixed rotor axis to its support.

EFFECT: simplifying the connection of fixed rotor axis to its support.
