FIELD: mechanics.
SUBSTANCE: starting/firing device is proposed consisting of identical n-number, n being a natural number exceeding 1, of switches/spark dischargers and 2(n-1) number of charging branches of the pulse Marx generator, its spark dischargers operating in a self-breakdown mode. The starting/firing devices consists of, at least, one pulse transformer connected to the pulse generator. At least one of the Marx generator charging branches generates, at a certain time and for a short period, at the adjacent spark discharger a voltage approximating to self-breakage value. The charging branch closes by an appropriate capacitor the spark discharger except for that on the outlet side. The pulsed transformer output winding acts in charging as an induction coil, while its input winding is connected to the pulsed generator. The voltage pulse generated by the said transformer of starting/firing the pulsed generator gets added to the charging voltage of the appropriate step capacitor to generate, for a short period, an overvoltage required to initiate a self-breakage of adjoining spark discharger.
EFFECT: purposive firing of the Marx generator operated in repeated modes at required time intervals.
