FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: set of inventions concern method and arrangement of electrochemical reduction of metal oxides. Method of electrochemical reduction of metal oxide, such as titanium oxide in a solid-state is implemented in electrolyser, which contains molten electrolyte tank, cathode and anode. Method includes following stages: a) potential application of electrolysers between cathode and anode, allowed reducing electrochemically metal oxide, fed into tank of molten electrolyte; b) continuous or semicontinuos feeding of metal oxide in the shape of powder and/or granulated into tank of molten electrolyte; c) transportation of powder and/or granules lengthwise certain path within tank of molten electrolyte and metal oxide reduction during movement of powder and/or granules lengthwise this path; and d) continuous or semicontinuos removal of metal for tank of molten electrolyte.
EFFECT: effectiveness increase of continuous or semicontinuos electrochemical reduction of metal oxide in the shape of powder and/or granulated with receiving of metal which allows weak oxygen.
