FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: axially radial compressor impeller incorporates a variable-thickness blades curved against the direction of rotation with their face and rear surfaces representing circular arcs. The blade curvature radii vary, on every pitch along the impeller axis, continuously and smoothly in magnitude. The blade strength at rim speed exceeding 300 m/s is ensured by preset cross-section thickening angles, formally related with the blade curvature radii, blade thickness at outer meridian outline points and with the radii of the distance of the aforesaid points from the impeller axis. High gas-and-dynamic features of the said compressor with the proposed impeller (efficiency, manometric head) result from the minimum possible blade surface curvature radius. The blade curvature structure in the rotation planes is formed in the section from the impeller axis to the outer meridian outline points allowing for structural lines passing through the impeller axis.

EFFECT: compressor higher efficiency and manometric head.
