FIELD: mechanics.
SUBSTANCE: variable-speed gear drive comprises one gearing to transmit rotary motion from drive shaft (616) to driven shaft (610), first gear wheel (601) fitted on the drive shaft and representing, in fact, a bevel body of revolution with a curvilinear generating line with no inflection points, second gear wheel (602, 622) in mesh with the driven shaft and made up of three identical power transmission elements representing bodies of revolution forming together a closed loop, their axes lying in one plane. All power transmission elements of the second gear wheel (602, 622) are fitted on a hub to synchronously run about their axes. The width of power transmission element every tooth and the tooth gap width varies with the former and the latter when the power transmission element rolls over along the generating line of the first gear wheel.
EFFECT: expanded performances.
