FIELD: mechanics.
SUBSTANCE: gate valve actuator output shaft is driven by the motor via a one-way gearing. The actuator incorporates an alternative manual drive composed of a hand wheel, a coupling and a lever to change over from electrical drive to manual one. The actuator is furnished with an idler shaft fitted in between the motor and actuator output shaft and linked to the hand wheel. The idler shaft is arranged between the motor and gearing. The aforesaid lever changes the actuator over to manual drive. The coupling mechanism features a free operation. The coupling incorporates a moving element and a control device interacting by tapered surfaces. Design versions of the gate valve electrically-driven actuator are described.
EFFECT: lower torque, lower manual control force, smaller sizes, use of reinforced for manufacture of hand wheel and lever.
